The first Tablet device to use Telstra’s 4G mobile network has just hit the market, promising download speeds of up to 40Mbps.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 4G features a 8.9 inch touch screen and 1.5Ghz dual core processor, which combined with the faster download speeds means that users will be able to multitask while downloading high quality content like streaming music and movies faster.

Generally in areas where the 4G network is available users can expect download speeds around 5 times faster than tablets that only use the 3G network, with upload speeds around 3 times faster.
