Last night Dell reignited the Alienware brand with a bang by serving what can only be described as a Hi-Tech Hollywood show for an audience of media, retailers and VIP guests.

The “Area 52” event was a real departure for Alienware’s corporate owner Dell, who with the help of special effects designers from Boffswana created a Live Dimension Reality experience involving amazing 3D projection mapping, pyrotechnics, live actors, stunts (including guy running around with his arm on fire) and other special effects.

Where can you see this amazing technological feat? Well for the moment you can’t, however the entire evening was captured by Dell and will be released as a short movie in the coming weeks.

So how does all this tie in with Alienware? Well at the heart of this live experience was the Alienware Area 52 Airstream which is essentially a 1950’s looking caravan on the outside, but definitely 21st century on the interior with the latest range of Alienware’s notebook and desktop machines ready for public sampling.

The Alienware area 52 Airstream is taking off around the country from July 19, starting from Circular Quay in Sydney.
