If you’re looking at mobile or home broadband plan that makes an ‘Unlimited Data’ promise, be sure to read the fine print.

Outside of the usual ‘acceptable use’ policies, what you’ll want to look out for is the actual speed of the data on the plan that you’re looking at signing up for.

What we’re seeing at the moment is just the start of mobile plans that offer unlimited data…but you’ll find that you’ll get to a point of usage, then the speed will be throttled right back…making your unlimited data, somewhat limited, especially when it comes to video streaming.

Be sure to do your homework.
