Literally a bird’s eye view from the Bebop drone’s camera

If you like the idea of owning your own aerial drone you don’t need to spend thousands of dollars to enjoy similar features found in professional drones.  The Bebop drone from Parrot is a good example.

Its features include a 14-megapixel onboard fish-eye camera with HD video capture,  connectivity with the latest wi-fi standards and with built in GPS is capable of autonomous autonomous flight and automatic return to the take-off position.   Great for play…or just to inspect the roof when you don’t want to go up there to check the gutters.

Away from ‘checking the gutters’ on the house I took the drone to a local reserve at a time where few people were around and got some great results from the camera and flight controls. (photo to the left).

The Bebop drone sells for under 700 dollars and can be controlled with iOS or android mobile devices.
