XboxOne_DayOne_Consle_Sensr_controllr_F_TransBG_RGB_2013November is traditionally a big month for video games with many of the year’s biggest titles launching around this time, but this year November will also see the launch of new games consoles.

On November 22 the XBox One from Microsoft arrives, now using the Blu-Ray disc format for games.  This new system will set you back $599, but be aware that it won’t play games from the current XBox360 console.

Just 7 days later and Sony will launch the Playstation 4 at the slightly lower price point of $549.  The new Dualshock 4 controller with touch pad is the interesting feature on this system, adding a new way of interacting with games.

If you’re considering buying either of these new systems to put under the Christmas tree this year there’s a chance you may miss out with pre-sale orders of both systems quite high.  Some retailers have even reported selling out of their initial launch day stock and are taking pre-orders for delivery in January.
