Cyber criminals are constantly looking for new methods to trick internet users into parting with personal information or their hard earned cash just it’s not just dodgy websites and email that you have to be weary of.
Recently we’ve seen social networks such as Facebook littered with fraudulent promotions, surveys or offers that are simply too good to be true.
AVG Australia suggests that these fraudulent offers usually carry obvious signs of fishy business like a link taking you to a website with an address just made up of numbers or being presented with a pop-up box that insists you enter personal information before being allowed to continue.
