Do you even think about what would happen if your computer simply stopped working tomorrow? How would it impact your life, what important files or memories would you potentially lose and how much will it cost to bring it all back?

These are the questions you should actually ask yourself when you’re buying and setting up your computer. Think about the warranty and what sort of service you can expect then put into place some preventative measures that in the event of something going wrong can protect your files and get you up and running again. This could include looking at cloud storage for important files or local regular system backups on an external hard drive…or even better both of these.

Hopefully you’ll never experience complete system or hard drive failures, but at least you’ll be prepared.
