Telsa may be the first name you think of when it comes to electric cars, but there   are plenty of other car manufacturers looking to seize the limelight from them.
The latest from Mercendes Benz is a great example.

The EQXX prototype recently drove more than 1000 kilometers from Germany to the French Riviera on a single change, using a battery half the size than the one found in their current flagship electric vehicle.

Currently the longest range of a Telsa vehicle on a single change is around 837km.

The Mercedes prototype made the trip at speeds of as fast as 140 kilometers per hour and still had 15% of battery charge left at the completion of the trip.
