With a Webcam and instant messaging software such as MSN or Skype or more recently Facebook, having a 1 on 1 Video chat with someone is easy…but what about bringing several people in on that same conversation, each from a different computer.
Well group video chat can be done, but it’s not yet built in to the popular chat programs.
At www.tinychat.com you can start up a group webcam session easily with up to 12 people and it all happens in your web browser.
There’s also the new Google Plus with a ‘hangout’ feature where up to 10 people can hold a video chat session.
For mobile device users, the App to grab is Fring, which can facilitate a video chat with up to 4 users.
