windows-8-boot-to-desktop-100044314-mediumIf you miss the look of Windows 7, then you should know that Windows 8.1 comes a very simple but much requested feature – the ability to boot up directly into desktop mode.  Sure those large tiles in the Windows 8 operating system are great if you’re on a touchscreen device, but for desktop users it can feel like an extra step to getting where they need to be.

To enable this in Windows 8.1:

1.Bboot up your PC and enter desktop mode

2. Right-click in any open area of the taskbar and click properties then the navigation tab.

3. You’ll see the option “go to the desktop instead of start when i sign in” – check the box next to that and next time you reboot you’ll go direct to desktop mode.
