74 percent of Australians feel worried about their online safety.

A new international study by Cybersecurity company Surfshark actually reveals that Australians are more scared to be targeted by cybercriminals than Americans, Germans, Brits or Canadians.

It seems this is a valid concern with an 800% increase in cyberattacks recorded over the past weeks and a finding that 1 in 3 Australians  had been a victim of data breaches in 2021….plus FBI data ranks us 5th in the world by cybercrime rate.

Some basic tips to stay safe online;

Don’t download files from unknown or unsecured
Keep all your software up to date
Make backups of your data
Use antivirus, VPN and firewall solutions whenever possible.
