I didn’t get my first mobile phone until I was 20, but times are different now and phones are much smarter with features and access that may not be appropriate for much younger users.

As a parent this can be a real challenge.  In many cases you may simply want to your child to have a phone for when they are travelling two and from school where they may need to contact if if there’s a problem but in most cases, but default, that device is open to so many more uses that they may not be ready for.

Now while parental controls on devices can be useful, Australian tech startup G-mee has a range of low cost Android devices that don’t have a camera and give parents easy access to what apps their kids can or can’t see.

Priced between 100 and 150 dollars the G-Mee devices offer a great solution that’s probably as close as you’ll get to keeping both kids and their parents happy.  Get more information at https://g-mee.com/
