Before you face time, Skype or even hangout in Google do you catch yourself in the mirror and feel the need for adjustments?
According to a 2014 survey, around 10 million Australians make video calls…and spend a surprising amount of time preparing for them.
The survey by Belong Broadband revealed that with the growth in video calling we are spending more time getting ready just for video calls with 40% fixing their hair, 30% checking the background is OK and a third aren’t even answering them if they don’t feel they look good enough. they don’t look good enough.

- A quarter are more concerned with checking themselves in the preview screen than the people they are calling
- 10% take between 15 and 30 minutes to get ready for a call
- 1 in 5 make sure the angle and light is flattering
- 15% change their clothes
- 1 in 10 only worry about the top half of their outfit
