If you know the feeling of getting stuck in a tricky part of a video game, then you may appreciate this solution that Sony is working on.
A recently discovered patent reveals PlayStation is developing an AI “ghost” system to help players finish difficult levels. Instead of you having to search for guides online, this AI overlay appears on-screen to show you exactly how to time your attacks or find hidden paths.
There is even a “Full Game” mode where the AI can take over the controls and beat a section for you. Sony says it wants to stop players from quitting when games get too complex.
It’s only a patent for now, so don’t put that controller down just yet.
