How fast is your internet speed at home?
Here in Australia if you can get access to a 500megabit per second download speed you’re doing pretty well as that’s fast enough to stream 4k quality movies.
Meanwhile over in Japan researchers using fibre optic technology have just set a new world record for the fastest internet speed….it’s a whopping 125 gigabytes of data per second.
So how much faster is that? Well with a little help from Google’s Gemini assistant I discovered that just over 2 millions times faster and estimates suggest that would allow you to download the entire internet archive in less than 4 minutes.
