With the new Pixel 10 Pro from Google, it’s hard to take a bad photo, even when your subject is far away.
One of the new camera features only found on the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL is the 100x Pro Res Zoom. Normally a 100x isn’t that much to get excited about, as a digital zoom doesn’t give the same result as a optical zoom, but thanks to the AI Camera enhancements on this device we end up with a photo that’s worth viewing.
Instead of just talking about it, I’ll show you.

The subject is around the top-middle of the photo. You’ll see a patch of bright green. It’s a guy in a green vest.
Ok, so now let’s use a 100x Zoom on that.
Not really much to look at, but we can see some basic detail. But look what happens when you get Generative AI steps in…
Ok, so while we don’t get much detail on the person, look at how the landscape has been enhanced. Remember this is a 100x digital zoom and AI is being used to create detail.
