How well do you know your Emojis?

Perhaps as not as well as you think according to new research from Vodafone.

They found that Australian’s may be fluent in emoji-speak in the workplace, not everyone is reading from the same dictionary, with 65 percent worried that the emojis they use are not interpreted in the way they were intended.

Now’s a good time to wheel in Vodafone’s emoji decoder.  This handy reference tool highlights some of the very different meanings of popular emojis.  For example I never thought the crying / laughing emoji would be used to represent nervous panic….and the thumbs up according to many is dismissive or sarcastic.
