A new Australian survey reveals a major shift in what we want from our smartphones. It seems long life is now more important than a low price or a famous logo.
The survey, from tech brand OPPO, found almost half of us—that’s forty-nine percent—now rank battery life as the number one feature when buying a new phone. That’s well ahead of price, which was the top factor for thirty-four percent of people, and brand loyalty at thirty-two percent.
This focus on longevity and value comes as sales for phones under $500 continue to rise, showing how Aussies are adapting to cost-of-living pressures.
OPPO suggests that the new A5 Series smartphones meet these needs, featuring 6,000 mAh batteries along with a low price, starting at $219.
