You CAN get a great new smartphone for well under $1000.
One of the latest examples of this is the Galaxy A53 5G from Samsung.
Priced at just under 700 dollars the A53 could be easily mistaken at first glance for a more expensive device, with it’s almost borderless 6.5 inch display and multi lens camera.
So in terms of aesthetics and camera function you’re still getting a great device…so it’s more about the things you can’t see that make help keep the cost down. For example a slower processor than you’d find in a Galaxy S series phone and no optical zoom on the camera.
