If you enjoy multiplayer games with voice chat or just like to keep the sound of what you’re playing to yourself (like late at night or if you’re sharing the space with others), then a gaming headset is a must, but they can be expensive, with prices upwards of 700 dollars.
The great news is that you don’t have to spend that much to get a great headset that delivers great sound and has a few cool extra features.

Over the past month (thanks to Christmas Holidays) I’ve been testing out the more budget-friendly alternative with Corsair’s Void Max Wireless V2 gaming headset.
Costing around 250 dollars, it punches well above its weight. You get simultaneous dual-wireless—meaning you can take phone calls via Bluetooth while still hearing your game audio.
The headset is light and comfortable with 70 hours battery life, so for me marathon sessions on my Playstation 5 were easy on the ears.
Some of the other features I enjoyed on this headset was the fold-up Microphone boom arm (it goes into mute mode when folded up) and the RGB lighting that you can customise (when connected to a PC).
You’ll find more info on the Void Max Wireless V2 on the Corsair website, plus I just spotted them on Amazon for a great price too.
