Residents of regional Victoria and Queensland will be the next to make the switch to digtial-only free to air TV.
On May 5 the analog TV signals that have been in use since the 1960’s will be switched off permanently in country Victoria, with regional areas in Queensland to follow in the 2nd half of the year.
While the digital switchover date is looming, the good news is that in Victoria 90 percent of households are ready for the change.
If you’re in either of these areas and are yet to make the switch then you’ll need to at least connect a digital set-top box to your existing analog TV to continue watching commercial free to air broadcasts after the analog transmissions are shut off.
