The first 4G Sim enabled Smart Watch in Australia goes on sale today.

Unlike many popular smart watches on the marget such as the Apple Watch and Samsung Gear watch, Huawei’s Watch 2 doesn’t need your smartphone to be close by to fully function.

The 4G SIM card and GPS on board the Watch 2 handles all calls and text messages and you can even use apps like Facebook messenger, Foursqure and Uber without connecting a smartphone.

Launching today, Huawei’s Watch 2 is exclusive to Vodafone for 599 dollars.
